Hey guys! I was finally able to put together a workout video for you. It’s an easy workout that you can do at home and doesn’t require any equipment! It took some time for me to figure out how to edit it, but I think It just takes some time to get used to it. I talk all the time about how I love doing interval workouts and also circuit training. For those of you who dont know what either of those are, Interval workouts or h.i.i.t(high intensity interval training) is when you do a set of reps(usually 10-12) followed by 30 seconds to 1 minute of high intensity movement. Think jumping jacks, jump squats, frog jumps, burpees, etc. and then you rest for 30 seconds, then repeat with a different set. These types of workouts are great for anyone wanting to lean out and burn some fat, yet still gaining some muscle tone at the same time. Circuit training is done by doing a set of reps, then immediately moving onto another set of a different exercise. I usually do a set of upper body, and then move into an exercise using my lower body. The idea here is that you’re always moving, burning more fat in a shorter amount of time, versus resting after a set. Since I am impatient, these 2 types of workouts are perfect for me! They are really great for someone who doesn’t have a lot of time to workout, either. You can get a workout done in 20 or 30 minutes like this!
Another type of workout that’s high up there in my favorites is compound exercises. You get more bang for your buck, so to speak with these. They are doing 1 complete movement using multiple muscle groups. For instance: doing a stiff-legged dead lift, moving into a bicep curl, followed by a shoulder press. You’ve really done 3 exercises all in one movement. Any time you can incorporate using several muscle groups at the same time, means more calorie burn+fat burning = fit body!
Take your time doing each movement. Rushing through each movement doesn’t do yourself any favors! Something else that drives me crazy is that a lot of females think they will get big and bulky if they lift heavy weights. So, not true! We don’t have the testosterone that it takes to bulk up, like men. Not gonna happen! Instead, it gives you a fit/toned physique, and when you have a fit and toned physique, your posture becomes better, your clothes look better on you, you become stronger, your confidence increases and you just feel better all around! Who doesn’t want that? Releasing your endorphin’s when you workout is the feel good hormones in your body. So for all you ladies who are killing yourself on the treadmill or stair climber……start…..lifting…..heavy! You’ll see more results than you EVER did sweating it on the hamster wheel. I cannot stress this enough! Need another tip of motivation to start lifting? Weight training helps you build muscle, the more muscle, the less room there is for fat cells, the less fat cells you have, the less cellulite there is. See what I am getting at here? Thats just 1 of the bonuses you’ll get through weight training.
Your endorphin’s are aching to get released, so join me for 3-4 times doing 10-12 reps of each exercise.
If you dont belong to a gym here is some great options for Exercise Equipment that you can workout at home with, check out these below, as well, that I use myself and highly recommend for a great workout:
